A New Chapter For Tooro Kingdom
The Tooro Kingdom has entered a new era following the burial of the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV and the impending enthronement of his successor, Omukama Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma. The transition marks one of the most significant moments in the kingdom’s recent history.
The late Omukama Oyo, who became king at the age of three in 1995, was internationally recognised for his advocacy work in health, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation.
Unity And Cultural Continuity
Traditional leaders, government officials, and religious figures have called for unity among the people of Tooro following the transition.
