According to BBSTV.UG Human Resource Manager Nassim Nakabugo, Sseruwooza breathed his last at about 4:00am, marking the end of a journalism journey that saw him become a familiar and respected figure in Uganda’s parliamentary reporting circles.

His passing has left colleagues, media practitioners, legislators, and audiences who followed his work with a deep sense of loss.

A Dedicated Chronicler of Parliament

Sseruwooza was widely recognised for his commitment to covering parliamentary affairs, a demanding beat that requires persistence, accuracy, and a keen understanding of national governance.

Through his reports, he brought the proceedings of Parliament closer to the public, highlighting debates, policy discussions, and the decisions that shape the country’s direction.

His work contributed to the important role played by journalists in promoting accountability and keeping citizens informed about the actions of their elected representatives.

“Nga kitalo ekya Sseruwooza” was the catch word in a sombre mood that engulfed bbstv.ug family.

Beyond the headlines and parliamentary corridors, Joseph Sseruwooza’s legacy remains tied to the countless stories he told and the public conversations he helped shape through journalism.
