Taking Corruption Battle To LC1 Is Laughable: Oweyegha Tells Museveni

If The President Means Business This Time Round, He Should Look For The Big Thieves Around Him, Who Are Mainly In The Legislature And Executive And In The Statutory Bodies.

Makerere University Retiree Prof. Oweyegha Afunaduula

Uganda Today Edition:The Inspector General of Government, Beti Kamya, decried the loss of UGX 10 trillion to corruption every year, the Speaker of Parliament seems to be celebrating corruption, which is treason, as if  siphoning off trillions from the education, health, and other services from Ugandans; and the President of Uganda who declared war on corruption , says he is taking his war on corruption to LC one, which is laughable. How much of the UGX 10 trillion is stolen at LC One level, or even at LC 5 Level? If the President means business this time round, he should look for the big thieves around him, who are mainly in the Legislature and Executive and in the statutory bodies.

If I have mentioned corruption three times in this short paragraph it is because it has got out of hand. It has become a treasonable vice as it is now a conduit for genocide in Uganda. Many are dying because of corruption as those who say they are leaders are erecting monumental buildings for themselves as signs of power using stolen public money and signalling to the young generation that stealing is all right if you share what you have stolen with others! Terrible, incredible.
For God and My Country.
