Rt Rev Enos Kitto Kagodo Is 5th Mukono Diocese Bishop

The newly 5th elected Bishop of Mukono Diocese, The venerable Rt.. Rev. Canon Enos Kitto Kagodo from Ngeye Clan is a son of James Kibirige Kagodo and a grandson of Enos Kagodo.

His mother is Ruth Kibirige of “ Effumbe ” clan and He is the tenth child among his father’s children. Kitto was born on 13th December 1968 in Nakisunga Sub County, Mukono Diocese and born again on 14th October 1994. Rev. Enos testifies, “God saved me from being a drunkard and from the life full of destructive behaviors which I had started as a juvenile.

He started studying his nursery  going to school with his sister Roy Nakakande until when they reached primary five. Below is his education in details;

He married  Catherine Namuddu Kitto on 16/12/1995. They are now celebrating 26 years in marriage. God has given them a number of children both biological and spiritual ones below;

Pastoral Services

He was sent as an Evangelist by Ven. Rev. Kabuuka Ignatius Bogere (Canon of Nakibizzi Parish) at Nakosi Church of Uganda (1995-1996). This is where he studied professional Evangelism for two years.  Ven. Kabuuka  prayed for him, gave him ideas that he used during his two years of studying. He also attributes his studies to all his relatives from both his Father’s and Mother’s families.

He acted as a teacher in Nakosi (1994-96), an Evangelist at Stephen Namasiga C/U (1997-2001), as a Rev of Naminya Parish (2001-2005), still as a Rev at Njeru Parish (2006-2009).

He was a Vicar at St. Phillips and Andrews Cathedral (2010-2013). He was elected as the first Archdeacon of Lugazi (2014-2015), Archdeacon of Seeta (2016-2018), and currently, he is the Provost of St. Phillips and Andrews Cathedral, Mukono.

Earlier Responsibilities

He was the Youth Leader at Namuyenje Church of Uganda, L.C. 1 Chairperson of Nangwa Village for over five years. He was also the Parish Youth Leader and he used to represent his parish at the Sub County. He was also a Prefect at Bishop Senior Secondary School in Mukono.

The very Rev. E. K. Kagodo was the President of Nakanyonyi Bible College, a former Minister of Works at Namugongo Seminary. He has been also a member on different Boards of Schools, a General Secretary of the Clan and many other positions.

He was the Chairperson of The House of the Clergy for a number of years before becoming a Canon.
Mukono Diocese has received a workaholic, experienced and God fearing Leader.
