Museveni’s Impractical Promises

He Promised To Move Uganda’s GDP From 50 To 500 Billion Dollars In Ten Years

Uganda Today: When Joseph Kabila was 14 years old, Museveni became President of Uganda. Another 15 years later – in 2001 – Kabila went on to become President of the DRC, then aged just 29. He went on to serve for 18 years.

At age 47 he handed over power to Felix Tshisekedi – 8 years his senior aged 55 then. Kabila has since done a Masters’s Degree and is now defending his thesis for a PhD as Tshisekedi starts his second, and final term.

Meanwhile, Museveni is still President of Uganda, and on January 26, 2024 he promised to move Uganda’s GDP from 50 to 500 billion dollars in ten years – something he has failed to do in 40 – which, as of today’s rate, would make Uganda the 31st richest country in the world and richest in Africa ahead of Nigeria, and Egypt.

Isn’t our God an amazing God?!
