London, United Kingdom — A landmark celebration is taking shape in the United Kingdom as Ugandans and friends of Uganda prepare to mark 35 years since 1991, with a special Sports Day and evening after-party bringing the community together in celebration, networking and entertainment.
The organisers say the milestone is more than an opportunity to have fun; it is also a moment to reflect on the journey of the Ugandan community in the UK and its contribution to cultural, social and charitable causes both in Britain and Uganda.
Sports Day to End on a High Note
The celebrations will continue into the evening with a Sports Day After Party, featuring music entertainment by DJ Shady.
The after-party is scheduled to run from 7:45pm to 1:00am and will be open to adults aged 18 and above. Entrance is £10, with payments accepted by card only.
Guests have been encouraged to come dressed casually or in sportswear, with freshening-up and changing facilities available at Mulberry Academy Woodside for those who need them after the day’s sporting activities.
The venue is Mulberry Academy Woodside, White Hart Lane, Wood Green, London, N22 5QJ, located diagonally across from the Sports Centre.
Organisers Emphasise Timekeeping
With a packed programme planned, organisers have urged participants and guests to keep time to ensure that the day’s activities and evening entertainment run smoothly.
For motorists, parking will be available from 12:00pm until 1:00am at a cost of £4.

From Wood Green Tube Station, travellers can use Bus W4 from Bus Stop H towards Palmers Green and alight at Wolves Lane Cemetery, or Bus W3 from Bus Stop B towards Northumberland Park and alight at New River Sports Centre.
From White Hart Lane Station, passengers can use Bus W3 from Bus Stop G towards Finsbury Park and alight at New River Sports Centre.
