  1. Residency Confirmation: Voters must present confirmation that they originate from, or are currently residing in, the parish of their desired new voting location at the time of their application.
  2. Previous Voting Details: Applicants must provide details of their previous voting location to facilitate the transfer process.

Justice Byabakama also highlighted that applicants can visit any designated update center equipped with a registration kit to submit their transfer requests.

“This is an opportunity for all eligible voters to ensure their information is accurate and up to date. We encourage the public to participate actively and responsibly in this exercise, as it lays the foundation for a credible electoral process,” he added.

The EC has deployed registration kits and personnel across various update centers nationwide to streamline the process. The Commission has urged voters to adhere to the set guidelines and make use of the update period to address any discrepancies in their voter information.

The voter register update exercise marks the beginning of several activities aimed at ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process.
