ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan on Friday, February 13, 2026, arrived in Addis Ababa to participate in the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU), a summit that convenes Africa’s highest decision-making body.

The South Sudanese leader joined fellow heads of state and government for deliberations expected to shape continental policy on governance, security, and economic cooperation.
