Final Hours: From Masaka to Kampala
Ssekabiito, aged 42 and based in Ssembabule/Masaka, had left his home late the previous night to attend the wedding Mass of his friend Jude Kiganda at Lubaga Cathedral scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 27 . A Boda boda taxi driver who transported him from his residence to Masaka taxi Park, and handed him to the taxi driver known as “Gogo,” who further transported him to Kampala, recounted:
“He arrived at New Taxi Park around 5:40 a.m., saying he was heading to Lubaga for the wedding—and returning to Masaka afterwards. But 20 minutes later, I received a call that Ssekabiito had died” .
