Kampala, Uganda – Media tycoon Nyanzi Martin Luther has unveiled the Apex Digital Skills initiative, a transformative program designed to bridge Uganda’s digital divide and empower the country’s youth with essential 21st-century skills.
The initiative offers free training in computer literacy, digital marketing, online safety, and entrepreneurship, with a special emphasis on empowering the girl child.
Addressing participants at the launch, Luther underscored the urgency of digital readiness in today’s economy.
“We want to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed,” he said. “By doing so, we can unlock their potential and create a brighter future for Uganda.”
The Apex Digital Skills program goes beyond technical training by integrating mentorship on career development, job placement, and business start-up guidance. According to organizers, this holistic approach ensures that graduates are not only digitally literate but also prepared to seize employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
A core objective of the program is to advance digital inclusion for girls and young women, many of whom continue to face barriers in education and economic participation.
“We recognize that girls often face significant obstacles to accessing opportunities,” Luther noted. “By equipping them with digital skills and connecting them to job opportunities, we can help level the playing field and promote gender equality.”
The launch has already sparked enthusiasm among the youth. “I’m excited to learn new skills and improve my employability,” said Namugambe, a 19-year-old participant. “This program is a great opportunity for me to take my future into my own hands.”

With Apex Digital Skills, Nyanzi Martin Luther is setting the stage for a digitally empowered generation of Ugandans. By focusing on innovation, inclusion, and empowerment, the initiative is expected to make a lasting impact on the country’s social and economic transformation.
