Mawokota, Uganda: As the New Year dawned upon Uganda, Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi, Member of Parliament for Mawokota County South, marked a milestone of one year of dedicated service to his constituents. The celebration, held on Buyaaya Hill in Buwama Town Council, was a testament to the unity, resilience, and development witnessed in the constituency under his leadership.
The New Year’s Eve event, dubbed Mawokota Empya (A Renewed Mawokota), drew thousands of residents from Mawokota and beyond, eager to celebrate their achievements and embrace a brighter future. The night was brought to life by captivating performances from celebrated Ugandan artists Chris Evans, Hajat Stabua Natoolo, Betina Namukasa, Kabakko, Dax Cartel, and the Equator Birds Entertainment band, who kept the crowd entertained until dawn.
In his address, Hon. Nsibambi expressed heartfelt gratitude to his constituents for their unwavering support and to the Almighty for granting life and blessings. “Your overwhelming turnout is a clear reflection of our resilience and commitment to progress despite the challenges life presents,” he remarked.
The event was crowned with a spectacular fireworks display, symbolizing hope and transformation for 2025. Hon. Nsibambi acknowledged the immense efforts of his Constituency Office staff, the organizing committee, security organs, and service providers in ensuring the success of the celebration.
The past year has seen remarkable strides in Mawokota South, including improvements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. Hon. Nsibambi pledged to continue working tirelessly to uplift the lives of his people. “I promise to stand with you through thick and thin,” he emphasized, highlighting his vision for inclusive growth and sustainable development in the constituency.
As Mawokota South ushered in 2025 with unity and optimism, Hon. Nsibambi called for continued collaboration to achieve even greater milestones. “Here’s to a happy, prosperous, and transformative New Year, filled with hope, change, and development for all my people,” he concluded.
