UgandaToday: Habitual Assault Uganda Police Officer Accused of Repeated Violence

Social media platforms have been set ablaze with fresh accusations against a Uganda Police officer identified as Clive Nsiima, following a recent assault incident in Kyanja that reignited longstanding concerns over his alleged history of unchecked brutality.

Royal Roots, Troubled Reputation

Nsiima is reportedly descended from the Ankole royal lineage, and acquaintances describe him as calm when sober but dangerously volatile under the influence of alcohol. This dual personality has allegedly fueled numerous violent confrontations over the years.

COVID-19 Lockdown Shooting Incident

During the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, Nsiima is alleged to have opened fire at revelers at Birunga Bar in Ntinda, injuring several people. Although he was reportedly arrested on orders of top security officials, he is said to have been released in under six hours, prompting public suspicion of internal protection or influence.

Gun Drama Involving Buganda Royalty

In a separate confrontation, Nsiima allegedly pulled a pistol on Buganda Prince David Wasajja after accusing the royal of obstructing his car. Despite the matter being reported to police, sources claim that no disciplinary action was taken.

Hit-and-Run Case in Hoima

While serving in Hoima, Nsiima was reportedly implicated in a hit-and-run accident involving a pregnant woman and three others. The current status of the victims remains unknown, raising concerns about possible cover-ups within security ranks.

Armed and Reckless: Bars and Pistol Displays

Eyewitness accounts further accuse Nsiima of frequenting bars while armed with a pistol, which he allegedly brandishes while intoxicated. In a recent incident, he reportedly attempted to ram his car into a liquor shop in Ntinda before law enforcement officers intervened and disarmed him.

Public Demands Accountability

With mounting testimonies resurfacing online, Ugandans are now questioning how an officer with such an alleged pattern of violence has continued to serve without reprimand. Critics argue that his conduct not only tarnishes the image of the Uganda Police Force but also poses a grave danger to civilians.

As investigations into the latest Kyanja assault continue, the public awaits to see whether justice will finally prevail—or if this too will be another case swept under the rug.
