FULL FIGURE UNLEASHES SCATHING ATTACK ON CDF MUHOOZI OVER NUP BRUTALITY

By Uganda Today News Desk

Kampala – Presidential advisor and outspoken socialite Jennifer Nakanguubi, popularly known as Full Figure, has lashed out at General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and son of President Yoweri Museveni, over his inflammatory tweets and the ongoing brutality against opposition supporters.

In a fiery video recorded in Luganda, which is  published alongside this article, Full Figure did not hold back as she lambasted Muhoozi for allegedly ordering the relentless crackdown on National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters during the Kawempe North by-election campaigns.

Muhoozi’s Tweets and the Threats to NUP

The controversy erupted after Muhoozi posted a series of tweets suggesting that he would “deal” with opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) and his supporters. His remarks sparked outrage, with many viewing them as a direct threat of state-sanctioned violence against political opponents.

“Those people of NUP should know we are in charge! We shall not allow them to destabilize our country,” one of Muhoozi’s tweets read. This and other similar statements have since fueled tensions and fears of more violence.

Wanton Beating of NUP Supporters in Kawempe North

As the Kawempe North by-election campaigns intensified, reports emerged of severe brutality against NUP supporters at the hands of security agencies, including the police and the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT). Daily beatings, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics have become the order of the day, painting a grim picture of Uganda’s electoral process.

Several videos circulating online show uniformed officers mercilessly beating unarmed civilians wearing red berets and T-shirts associated with NUP. Some victims have been hospitalized due to the excessive force used, with human rights activists condemning the actions as a violation of fundamental freedoms.

Full Figure’s Verbal Onslaught on Muhoozi

In her recorded video, Full Figure, once a staunch supporter of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), accused Muhoozi of using state machinery to suppress opposition voices instead of fostering unity among Ugandans. She questioned his leadership style and urged him to refrain from reckless social media engagements that incite violence.

“You, Muhoozi, think you can use force to silence people? You are destroying your own future. Your father is still in power, but the way you behave, you will be the cause of your downfall,” she said in the video.

She further warned that Ugandans were tired of oppression and that even those within the NRM were beginning to see through the injustices meted out against innocent civilians.

Growing Condemnation

Full Figure’s remarks have added to the growing list of voices speaking against Muhoozi’s actions and the escalating violence in Kawempe North.Parliament, Civil society groups, religious leaders, and international observers have expressed concern over the conduct of security forces and the apparent impunity with which opposition supporters are being targeted. Early this week, the Electoral Commission was compelled to hold a meeting with police and the army to try and curb the escalating violence against NUP by security forces. The meeting was chaired by the Electoral Commission Chairperson Justice Byabakama Mugenyi

As the political climate in Uganda remains tense, the question lingers: Will Muhoozi heed the warnings and change course, or will his continued hardline stance further alienate him from the people?
