Among the thousands of comments, one particularly stinging response came from a Uganda Today reader in Kisoro, who posted:

“Anite is a minister because of the Kyankwanzi nonsense. This girl is not even suitable to become a Game Ranger at any of the national parks and game reserves in Uganda under the management of the Uganda Wildlife Authority, UWA.”

Others questioned the relevance of a state minister publicizing bodily changes instead of focusing on Uganda’s struggling investment climate, rising unemployment, and investor confidence. Critics pointed to Anite’s previous controversial statements as evidence of a consistent pattern of unseriousness and attention-seeking behavior.

Anite is no stranger to controversy. From declaring “we have the magye” during the 2017 age limit debate to her infamous “we shall use the army” warning during the Uganda Telecom saga, the former Koboko MP has developed a reputation for dramatic political theatrics.
