UgandaToday: Correction & Clarification: Kinoni Accident Victim Not a Vivo Energy Employee
UgandaToday wishes to issue a formal correction regarding an article earlier published under the headline “Tragedy at Kinoni: Vivo Energy Kyengera Station Manager, Family Killed in Early Morning Crash.”
Following further verification and official clarification from Mr. Valery Oketcho, the Spokesperson of Vivo Energy Uganda, it has been established that the head of the family who tragically lost his life in the Kinoni road accident was not an employee of Vivo Energy Kyengera.
Our subsequent fact-checking has reliably confirmed that the deceased worked at a different fuel station located opposite Vivo Energy (Shell) Kyengera, and was not affiliated with Vivo Energy in any employment or managerial capacity.
UgandaToday regrets the earlier misidentification and any inconvenience or misunderstanding this may have caused to Vivo Energy Uganda, its staff, partners, and the general public. We sincerely apologize for the error and reaffirm our commitment to accuracy, responsible journalism, and prompt corrections whenever discrepancies arise.
We extend our continued condolences to the bereaved family and thank Vivo Energy Uganda for their cooperation and timely clarification.
UgandaToday – Committed to Truth, Accountability, and Public Interest Journalism.
