Uganda Today Edition: Bryan Mackenzie Sabiiti Introduced To Parents of Damalie Nanteza In Grand Traditional Ceremony

In a grand and colorful traditional introduction ceremony, Bryan Mackenzie Sabiiti was formally introduced to the parents of his fiancée, Damalie Nanteza, yesterday, June 29, 2024. The event took place at the home of Nalongo Rosie Lunkuse Kaggyo and Salongo Ivan Kaggyo in Buddo, Wakiso district, drawing together family and friends from near and far.

Bryan Mackenzie Sabiiti, who works with the national broadcaster Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), was accompanied by a notable entourage. Among them were renowned comedian Salvador from Ombokoro and NTV’s fast-talking sports presenter Kabura, adding a touch of celebrity to the already vibrant event. The procession showcased traditional Ugandan culture, with guests donning colorful gomesi and kanzu, traditional dances, and music filling the air.

Notable among Damalie  Nanteza’s  parents friends and relatives was Utel Uganda’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maggie Mukiibi Lutwama, ACTV’s  financial officer Salongo Dan Lubinga and Christopher Muganga Kato Managing Editor for Uganda Today.

Damalie Nanteza, the radiant bride-to-be, currently resides and works in London. Her parents, Nalongo Rosie Lunkuse Kaggyo and Salongo Ivan Kaggyo, have roots both in London and Buddo, making the ceremony a convergence of Ugandan tradition and international flair. The Kaggyo family’s hospitality was evident in the meticulous arrangements and warm reception extended to all guests.

The ceremony was marked by the symbolic exchange of gifts, a staple in Ugandan introductions, signifying the bond between the two families. Traditional dishes were served, and the joyous atmosphere was palpable as speeches and blessings were given by family elders and friends.
