ADF Camp Discovered In Luweero

The Allied Democratic Forces whose leader (Jamil Mukulu) was arrested and got incarcerated in Luzira prisons by Uganda government, has taken Uganda People’s defence forces by surprise when their training camp was discovered in Luweero, yet the UPDF since November 2021, has been pursuing them from Eastern Congo in an operation code named operation Shuja.

Jamil Mukulu (born David Steven) is a Ugandan militant leader and suspected war criminal who was the principal founder and former leader of the Allied Democratic Forces, an armed Islamist rebel group in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mukulu was arrested in Tanzania in 2015 and is currently awaiting trial in the International Criminal Court for charges such as murder and crimes against humanity

 

Lt. Colonel Kakurungu UPDF Spokes Person confirmed the news of Luweero ADF training camp seizure by UPDF

In a tweet posted by UPDF Spokes person, the army has organised transport for journalists from the Media centre Kampala so that  they can be taken to Luweero and see for themselves. Contacted for confirmation of the tweet both Lt. Colonel Kakurungu and Lt. Colonel Emmanuel Muntu confirmed the tweet are ready to take journalists at the training camp site tomorrow June 16, 2022.
