Uganda Today: President Yoweri Museveni has amplified the political and military clout of his son as speculation continues to make rounds that he is grooming him as his future successor for president
Uganda Today exclusively reveals that the President recently directed the Ministry of Defence to purchase a brand new military helicopter for his son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba. The helicopter which is already in the country, was purchased from United States company, Bell Textron based in Texas.
The helicopter is fitted with the latest state of the art features aimed at guaranteeing the safety of the First Son. Because of its advanced nature, a foreign pilot is currently flying Muhoozi in it as local pilots attached to Special Forces Command (SFC) are still undergoing requisite training about its features.
Muhoozi, who is rummoured to be eying the country’s presidency at the retirement of his father, is serving now as the senior presidential advisor on special operations
