Accra, Ghana – March 5, 2026 – In celebration of International Women’s Day, Bolt Ghana has unveiled a campaign aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs by turning routine ride-hailing trips into tangible financial support for women-led businesses.

The initiative, dubbed “She Moves to Win,” seeks to mobilize passengers across Ghana to contribute to women’s economic empowerment simply by using the ride-hailing platform.

Turning Everyday Movement into Impact

Under the campaign, Bolt Ghana will donate GHS 0.20 for every completed trip made on its platform between March 8 and March 15, 2026. The company hopes to raise over GHS 50,000, which will be directed toward supporting women entrepreneurs across the country.

The initiative highlights the idea that when women move forward, entire societies progress.

Empowering Women Who Build Businesses

According to Teddy Appa-Dankyi, Senior General Manager of Bolt Ghana, the campaign reflects the true spirit of International Women’s Day by encouraging practical action.

Bolt Ghana launches the “She Moves to Win” campaign to support women entrepreneurs during International Women’s Day celebrations.

“International Women’s Day is about action. This campaign allows every rider to contribute to something bigger. Each trip taken during the week helps fund women entrepreneurs who are building businesses, creating jobs and driving change in their communities,” he said.

The funds generated during the campaign will support at least five women-led enterprises, helping them expand operations and strengthen their economic impact.

Partnership for Accountability and Fair Distribution

To ensure transparency and effective distribution of the funds, the initiative will be implemented in partnership with the Duafe Foundation, an organization known for supporting women’s economic empowerment.

Baaba Amoh Barima-Kwao, Executive Director of the foundation, emphasized the transformative power of investing in women.

“When women are given the right support, they don’t just grow businesses; they uplift families and entire communities. This initiative is powerful because it transforms everyday action into a real opportunity for women striving to build and expand their enterprises.”

Celebrating the Beneficiaries

At the end of the campaign period, the selected beneficiaries will be formally recognized and awarded the funds raised through the initiative.

The recognition ceremony will shine a spotlight on women entrepreneurs whose businesses are being strengthened through collective participation by everyday commuters.

By harnessing the power of routine mobility, Bolt Ghana’s “She Moves to Win” campaign demonstrates how simple daily choices can drive meaningful economic empowerment for women.
