KAMPALA — Uganda’s music and environmental movements are set to converge in a grand celebration as the Simba Omuti Green Music Concert takes center stage on December 20, 2025, at Millennium Park Lugogo.
The highly anticipated concert is sponsored by Dennis Daniel Ssemugenyi, a visionary entrepreneur, environmental advocate, and global thought leader, and is organised by Abtex. More than just a music extravaganza, the event is deeply rooted in environmental consciousness, drawing inspiration from Dr. Ssemugenyi’s nationwide green legacy — the Every Birthday Tree Day Initiative (EBTDI).
EBTDI is a transformative concept that calls upon individuals to plant trees equivalent to their age on every birthday, turning personal milestones into acts of environmental restoration. Through the Simba Omuti concert, this philosophy is being amplified using the power of music to mobilise communities toward climate action, sustainability, and responsible citizenship.
The concert boasts an all-star lineup of Uganda’s finest music icons, led by Dr. Jose Chameleon, alongside Cindy, Pallaso, Spice Diana, Pr. Wilson Bugembe, Winnie Nwagi, Azawi, Vinka, Elijah Kitaka, Kapeke, Dax Vibz, Ray G, Fefe Bussi, Fik Fameica, Karole Kasita, Ava Peace, Acidic Vokoz, Irene Ntale, Sophie Natongo, Merry Hearts, and comedy duo Madrat & Chiko, among others.
